Más Allá: bookstore
Más Allá is an independent bookstore in downtown Puebla founded by brothers and artists Fernanda and Nicanor Escalera. It specializes in artist’s books and experimental publishing. On the top floor it also houses an art gallery for young artists and designers.
Más Allá roughly translates as “beyond”. The name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to heaven and hell, but also the unexpected. The graphic language uses abstract and fuzzy illustrations and a wide typographic palette inspired by zine culture. The texts across the branding were created by Fernanda and Nicanor, and are inspired by Ulises Carrión’s work: “The new art of
making selling books”.
